Black Dye too black - Guild Wars Forums

i had the same thing on my armor.. after i crafted a new chest piece.
dyed it black and it no longer mached the rest of my old skool dyed black armor

seemed too expensive and too much trouble to match.. so i ended up going all with the new color

the new black is nice tho.

I believe the change is retroactive, it just did not affect armors already dyed... btw.. black is NEVER to black

I just got a new chest piece for one of my sets, which I dyed black before nightfalls and it looks grey, which i like. When i put a black dye in the preview now, I'm getting midnight black, so obviously the dyes have changed. I'm trying to match this new chest piece to the rest of the set but I'm getting black black instead of the dark grey I've been trying to get. I've tried Black x3 + white/silver/gray and none of them seem to be matching. Does anybody know if I can buy pre-nightfall black from other players or was the change retroactive?
